The MINI Countryman
MINI is adding a fourth model to its range with the MINI Countryman, which bridges the gap between the classic concept of the MINI and a modern Sports Activity Vehicle. As the first model in the MINI range with four doors and a wide-opening rear lid, the MINI Countryman, which comes as standard with four seats, provides more space versatility as well as a slightly elevated seating position. The MINI Countryman is entering the market with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines. The power range extends from 66 kW/90 hp in the MINI One D Countryman to 135 kW/184 hp in the MINI Cooper S Countryman. The 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in the top model comes for the first time not only with a twin-scroll turbocharger and direct fuel injection, but also with fully variable valve management.

2008 China’s Last Steam in Service 2/5 – DVD now available
DVD now available – www.trainbuffs.eu publishes professionally produced feature films. Over the coming months we will release a series of mostly Asian steam feature films. The first one documents the last big QJ and SY steam engines currently operating in scheduled service in Northern China. This film also offers spectacular insights into the daily ritual of life in the region. The camera man Felix Peschko travelled throughout Northern China during the winter of 2008.He was accompanied by the German locomotive driver Manfred Kantel, who has become a legend through his appearance in a number of train-related feature films and through his professional analysis of the development of German and Chinese railways. Their journey led them to Zhalai Nuoer where, in a massive open pit coal mine, more than 20 SY are still operating a daily service. Follow Peschko and Kantel on their remarkable journey along the Hanzhuang Line through Fuxin and on to Nanpiao and Pingdingshan. China is changing. New industrial complexes, roads and buildings are appearing everywhere. Alongside, and to accommodate, this development Chinas railways are also evolving. Our film will allow you to witness these dramatic changes. The feature is immensely enriched with scenes taken over the last 5 years presenting, among others, the tracks to the famous Jing Peng Pass. The era of the big steam engines QJ and SY is coming to an end. Diesel engines now prevail. In a short time QJs and SYs will become history …
