Many people do not understand what a hybrid car is. This is the simple definition. A hybrid car is a car that uses two or even more different power sources to move the car. Hybrid cars are most commonly referred to as HEV’s long for hybrid electric vehicles. This HEV combine an internal combustion engine and one or more electric motors. Some of the power sources used to power this hybrid cars includes petrol, hydrogen, liquid nitrogen, wind, electricity or solar.

With the recent development in technology a lot of companies have come up with hybrid cars that are designed to cater for the new generation. Honda, Toyota, ford and Chevrolet are just some of the many hybrid car models that have been released over the years.

Most written hybrid car reviews are always saying negative things about the hybrid vehicles. Some of the many advantages of using hybrid cars include

• Hybrid cars a very eco-friendly. Most hybrid cars that use for example; wind or electricity do not produce any harm residue to the environment and therefore do not cause global warming.
• Most hybrid cars uses natural resources like solar as fuel and therefore are very cheap. With the high rise in fuel cost using a hybrid car will help you cut down on fuel cost.
• They have significant battery storage and that means that they will save a lot of energy/ fuel especially if you are stuck in a traffic jam and you have to stop every time.
